This page explains what personal information House of Honey collects through this website, why we collect it, who else can see it, and how to ask us to change or delete it.
Who is responsible for your information
House of Honey Aerial Studio & Retreat Centre is the data controller for information collected through this website.
What we collect, and why
Booking a class or retreat
When you book through this site we collect your name, email address, phone number and any message you add, together with the class you chose. We use this to hold your place, to send you a confirmation, and to contact you if a class changes. We keep booking correspondence in our email for as long as it is useful for running the studio.
If you choose to pay by card, the payment is handled by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. If you choose to pay at the studio, no payment information is collected here at all.
Contact form
We collect your name, email address and message, and use them only to reply to you.
Newsletter
If you sign up for the newsletter we collect your email address and first name. We use double opt-in: you will be sent a confirmation email, and you are only added to the list once you click the link in it. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Our mailing list runs on Listmonk, which we host ourselves on our own infrastructure rather than handing your address to a marketing company.
Website logs
Like any website, our server records requests. These logs can include your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for. We use them only to keep the site running and to investigate faults or abuse, and they are held for a short period by our hosting provider.
Analytics and embedded content
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking scripts on this website. There is no Meta (Facebook) Pixel, no Google Analytics, and no visitor-measurement tool of any kind, and we set no advertising cookies. This site was rebuilt from our previous Wix site, which carried several such scripts; they were removed in August 2026.
A few parts of our pages are supplied by other companies, and your browser has to contact those companies to display them. When it does, they can see your IP address and which page you were looking at. We keep this list as short as we can:

mkp-prod.nyc3.cdn.digitaloceanspaces.com and then fetches the reviews
themselves from its own cache service, reviews-cache-proxy‑….run.app.

Some images on our blog posts and retreat centre page are still served from our previous
website’s image host, static.wixstatic.com. We are moving these across.

We do not use any of these to measure or profile you. If you would still rather they did not load, most browsers let you block third-party content, and tracker-blocking extensions will stop them loading.

What we never do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share your details with other companies for their own marketing.
- We do not add you to the newsletter without you asking to be added.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, send you a copy, or stop using it for a particular purpose. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month.
If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date at the top. If you have questions about anything here, just get in touch.
